Take a Walk with Me
I’ve come to look forward to the 5 to 8 pm time range during the summertime. The sun is soft and subtle, showering Earth in its color, glowing everything in its wake. In a quaint town, sounds of children laughing & playing in an inflatable pool fill the streets as their parents bask in the afternoon sun. The buzz of a lawn mower, making its way across the lawn, couples taking a stroll, shaded from the underside of flowing trees, and birds humming as they dance from flower to flower; It’s truly a magical time.
This was my first visit to Raleigh, NC, (certainly not my last) and with an almost 3 hour drive, I wanted to make the most of this day trip. I had about 2 hours to kill after a photoshoot so I figured why not explore one of Raleigh's longest-standing and unique neighborhoods: Historic Oakwood. Stumbling upon this neighborhood of beauty, I was able to walk around and absorb myself in the architecture, vibrant gardens and cars of character.
